And if you pair that with a car payment, I simply couldn’t afford it and still be able to make rent and whatnot. So I came here to see if he is correct in this. I know there will be taxes, dealer fees, registration costs etc. but Its the insurance part of it that might make it impossible. Also, do I have to have my credit established for a certain amount of time before I can buy a car? Today I approached a junction, maybe slightly faster than normal but nonetheless I managed to stop basically on the junction to give way to this motoror cyclist I saw coming. I was just about to make the turn in second gear and flow round and I saw him and braked. He me approach, and assumed I was going to carry on driving into his path, and therefore skidded and fell off his bike. His bike ended up nowhere near me whereas he however manged to roll right up to the front of my car. He got up uninjured and punched my car door and proceeded to blame me for him slipping over. From his point of view it may have looked like I was ready to make to turn, however and no point did I pull out into his lane or hit him or anything. There is no damage to my car at all so therefore I did not make contact with him at all. Insurance wise, is this my fault for looking prepared and begging to move the wheel, or is it his fault for losing control of his motorbike? Hello I have a question concerning a Traffic citation that i got 13 days ago. On the 21st of November i got pulled over for a blinker that was out on my car. I had bought this car from a friend 3 months ago and hadnt didnt redgister it into my name or have current tags. I had insurance for the first month that i had the car but then due to finacial problems couldnt afford the extra 220 a month for car insurance. So the State Trooper gave me a citition which written under the description only said no proof of insurance. So the a couple of days later i went and got insurance, redgistration, tags, license plates the whole nine yards and i went into the trooper station to clear the citation cause it is correctable but the lady tells me i have to show proof of insurance from the day of getting the citiation. so my only opition is either take this to court or pay a whooping 540$ and 6 points off my Driver’s license i was wondering if i should take this to court?

So the State Trooper gave me a citition which written under the description only said no proof of insurance. I also thought of selling my friend the car for a dollar so his name would be on the title instead of mine; however, I have a 10 year accident free discount that knocks off over $200 in insurance a year and that would disappear if I ended my coverage. Hurricane Rita put a tree on top of our bedroom. It cracked the ceiling in our walkin closet and bathroom. and of course the shingles on the roof at to be replaced. State Farm did us right and gave us just about enough money to have it repaired. So many homes were damaged that when we called around to almost every reputable contractor it was going to be a 4-5 month wait. Our roof was leaking with just a blue tarp on it so dh bought the material and he and his nephew fixed it, exept for the ceilings inside. It also states that minimum standards for health insurance policies are to be established and annual and lifetime coverage caps will be banned. As a business owner, I don’t see where the government comes to the conclusion that insurance companies could survive the price fixing and taking on such high risk liabilities. It seems like 2008 all over again, does it not? Wouldn’t they get involved in something similar to what the banks did with derivatives since they were forced to take on high risk loans? It seems like the big focus on Obamacare is the part where people are forced to buy insurance. I don’t think that is a big issue, the big issue is how can the insurance companies handle this? Health Insurance – 31 days after Birth?
Here is my question: Me and my wife currently have health insurance (Carrier A). Effective 6/1 I plan to get into different health insurance plan with different insurer (Carrier B). On 5/23 my son was born and as per Carrier A, I have 31 days to enroll him under my current health insurance. Since I am changing eff 6/1, will he still be covered with my current plan (even I don’t add him) until I add him to the new plan? So, basically from the time he is born until he gets added to Carrier B, would he have a coverage for these 7-8 days? Thanks"

Hi, I’ll give quite a bit of background first. I’m an 18 year old guy and I’ve been driving a 1.2 clio for about a year and a half now. Paying 1600 (CHEAP & completely clean license) my next insurance premium is around the 600 mark. I’d like to upgrade my car to either a 1.6-2.0L MK2 or a MK4 golf,(1100-ish annually) BUT I’d like to make modifications to it. Body rather then performance. Does it make a difference in the premium inevitably raising if I first insure the car, drive for a few months THEN modify and contact insurance, rather then, buying, modifying and insuring it before I’ve driven it? Hopefully that makes sense to anyone reading it. Thanks.
